Our first guest instructor!

Hello all!

I hope 2017 is treating you all extremely well so far! It's shaping up to be a busy year for Low End University and for myself musically-speaking, and I'm chomping at the bit for everything to be released throughout these next 6 months. Brooks (Tetrafusion guitarist) and I are finishing up guitar and bass tracking for our new full-length this weekend, mixing with Jamie King in February/March, and aiming for a release soon after. Stay tuned!

Now...*drumroll*...I'm EXTREMELY excited to announce Low End University's very first guest instructor to join the faculty, please welcome Kilian Duarte! I've gotten to know Kilian well over the last few years, and is someone I consider to be an extreme talent and driving force within the bass community right now. As an alumni of Berklee College of Music, the bass player for Felix Martin Band and a columnist/reporter for Bass Musician Magazine, I'm very excited for him to bring his massive talent base (pun intended) and unique styles and approaches to the table here at LEU. His first lesson, "Harp Harmonic Chords", is now LIVE in the library with many more coming over the next few weeks. If you aren't a member yet, join the community and get serious about your playing! Oh, and more guests to be announced very soon! : )

Other new content includes our Q&A video for January 2017, a new play-along track influenced by the style of Stevie Ray Vaughan, a lesson focusing on phrasing walking bass lines, ad-libbing over whole notes, and an advice-column entry on proper breathing while playing. Don't ever forget to breathe...right? : )

Grab your bass, and let's get started! Stop by the Forum if you have any questions, that's where I'm hanging out!
